A Perfect Find

While searching for what to wear to my birthday dinner party, I found a piece that I will hold onto and cherish forever. At shopbop in the sale section, let me clarify .... the 70 percent off section, I found a Haute Hippie top that is out of this world. Originally $495 I purchased it for only $148.50 less an extra 15 percent because of a family and friend promo. It was like it was meant to be, there was only one left and it was in my size. It was a risk to order online without ever trying it on but when you know, you know. Even if I never ended up wearing this piece I was ecstatic just to have it in my collection.

Anthropologie Hits South Granville

Anthropologie opened it's first store in B.C and fourth store in Canada today May 13 on South Granville. For those of you that know the area its on Granville and 13th and in the old Urban Planet location. The store is 6,000 square feet and filled with an amazing assortment of merchandise. Everything from clothes to beauty and home. Check out the link to get a glimpse of what to expect! I think I am most excited about there denim brands. J Brand my ulitimate fav, AG, Paige, Citizen's of Humanity are just to name a few. This gives me a place close to work that I can try my size on before ordering online which is a huge bonus and always cheaper;)

These few fav's I am proud to say, I own them all. The Jean jacket was ordered all the way from Sweden. I first saw it on Shopbop but by the time I went to order it it was already sold out. Hot item. Its the perfect jacket for summer dresses and skirts and I love the short cropped fit. The gold watch is my prize possession, a statement piece bought from the Michael Kors store in Soho, NYC. If you haven't tried Moroccan Oil yet, you must, no questions. You will know what I mean after your first time. Do it!

Hemp Heart Power Smoothie

My boyfriend and I have finally mastered our perfect power smoothie. It has taken us a few years to finally create something that we absolutely love, tastes good and is super healthy. A close friend recommended Hemp Hearts to us and this became the most important ingredient. Not only does it taste good but it supplies you with tons of energy, nutrients and protein. Victoria Secret $9

So I have done it ... created a blog! I have been feeling a little hesitant about the whole idea but decided right now to just ago ahead and do it. I new that I wanted to blog about any and everything to do with fashion, cooking, baking, home decor and travel, but I had no idea of what I wanted to call it. When I was thinking of names to call my blog....words like sweets, satin, lace, lemon drops, velvet, and vanilla kept coming into my head. It was not until I sprayed my favourite scent of body mist that night that it came to me...Vanilla & Lace, the name on the bottle of the most amazing smell ever.
